Our Society is devoted to providing homes for those families whose living places have been completely damaged or devastated by natural disasters. Our area of operation is the hilly region with agriculture and livestock as the primary occupation of the families. Bhatwari, Dunda, and Chinyalisaur blocks in Uttarkashi district lie in the far-off areas of the district. Here the houses are built of slate and stones and mud sand. These are called the ‘Kachcha Houses’ which are too fragile to endure natural calamities and environmental changes.
We have built permanent houses for families whose homes were destroyed by the flash floods in June 2013. We have also built earthquake-resistant house samples in district collectorate premises and trained the masons and rajmistris of Uttarkashi district in 2014 -15.
